A former monastery in Baden-Württemberg with its own ancient oak forests. In the dimly lit dormitory, twenty-six Baroque monks’ beds side by side. SALEM breathes meditative serenity. A base of ancient oak, left in its original condition. Its splendid patina kissed awake by young linseed oil. Entrusted to a frame to match the object; unwrought, hand-deburred steel tubing. Two coat hooks cast subtle accents. Functional art, resting on steel feet, in the flow of energy between heaven and earth. Heilig designed, one of a kind, in two sizes, SALEM N°1 and SALEM N°2, embodying individual oak patinas and shared monastic origin.

Unique items by Heilig Objects are available exclusively from the artist. Design adaptations on request.
